The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (Knights Valley) is powerful, dense and wonderfully rich, with tons of the savory and mineral inflections that make Knights Valley Cabernets so alluring. This mineral character helps to play off the natural radiance of the year. Graphite, game, menthol, licorice and red fruit are front and center. In this vintage, the wine has a bit more suppleness and red fruit than it usually does.

Soft and generous in feel, with creamed blackberry and black cherry fruit gliding along, laced with toast notes and backed by embers of grilled savory on the finish. Drink now through 2024. 82,750 cases made.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Knights Valley is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it features bold notions of baked plums, boysenberries and black cherry compote with an undercurrent of cinnamon stick, menthol and tree bark. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a great structure of firm, ripe, grainy tannins and lovely freshness supporting the juicy black fruit, finishing long. 82,752 cases were made.
